Software Club June 2020

Hello everyone,  I hope you are all staying safe and healthy in these troubling times.  Things are getting better, but it will still be a while before things get back to the new normal.

I have taken a break from making face masks and isolation gowns for a while and have come up with a class for this month from an idea inspired by some designs I found online.  I will finalize the notes and send them out later in the week.

Summer has arrived and while we can, we Canadians enjoy sitting outside with a beverage, enjoying the warm weather. However with summer also comes bugs. This month we will create glass covers to protect our drinks from flies and other insects! A hole has been included to insert a straw, but you can also use them as coasters.  We will make a variety using appliquéd fabric and free standing lace options. Once you have a blank, it can be embellished with whatever theme is appropriate for the occasion.  Here are some examples:

If you have paid for the year in advance you will automatically get a copy of these notes.  If you would like the notes and haven't paid in advance,  please sign up online at our  website www.sew-jos.ca/classes.htm so that I can forward you the instructions.  Because we can't meet in person, I have created a software class for covid times.  In the search field type in Covid and you should get the new class displayed. Click on this class and proceed with adding to the Cart, etc. This class is less expensive to balance out that we can not meet in person.  Of course you are most welcome to e-mail me any questions on the notes if you have any problems following them, as always.

I hope this will give you something to occupy your time while being at home.

The recent Provincial Guidelines will allow stores to open as Friday, while still maintaining restrictions in terms of social distancing.
Sew-Jo’s floor space makes it difficult for the physical distancing, etc.  Therefore, we will continue to allow one customer in the store at a time as well as curbside pickup for the time being with the same reduced hours being Tuesday through Friday from 10 am until 4 pm.  If these hours are not possible for you, please contact us at info@sew-jos.ca to arrange an appointment for a specific time.  You will be required to wear a face mask while in the store for the safety of all.

As always, please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Stay safe!
