Hello everyone, this month’s Software Club will be meeting on Sunday, December 8 from 9:30 to 11:30 am and again on Friday, December 13 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
In keeping with our letter theme over the last few software clubs, and with Christmas just around the corner, I thought this would be a good time to add a monogram to a gift to make it more personal. A lot of online companies sell monogram letter designs and we have the capacity to make our own with the software. In this club, we are going to use our fonts to create a variety of styles of Monograms. We will start off with a single letter for a shirt pocket. Then, our software has a Monogram Wizard using the system fonts. We will create a set of letters that can be appliquéd as well as an embossed version to hold the pile on a towel. Lastly, we will modify a Letter in a decorative font to create a new monogram split in half so that a name can be placed inside it. We will create two versions using different techniques. Here are some of what I've been playing with.
In order to get the most out of the session, you can bring your laptop (and software dongle/hasp, if you are using Premier+ version or earlier).
If you have stitched out any previous sessions’ design(s) please bring it (them) along as well, or any show and tell. We all like to see what you have been doing.
