Software Club

Software Club November 2019

Hello everyone, this month’s Software Club will be meeting on Sunday, November 10 from 9:30 to 11:30 am and again on Friday, November 15 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.

Last club we played with creating new fonts, and an interest was expressed in using these fonts.  So, this month we are going to use our fonts. Pinterest and Google have many inspirations that can be used. I have found a couple that we will recreate. We will create a design that can be used to create a unique wedding gift and then a birth announcement that can be a piece of art or a label on a baby quilt.

Finally, for those who have one of the Premier+2 software packages, you can now use a wizard as a starting place for adding words into a shape, but it is really only a starting place.  Those with Premier+ or lower can still join in the fun by adding the words manually with not much more effort.

For those who have one of the Premier+2 software packages, and have purchased a font from another source where each letter is a separate design, we will also combine some designs into one font. This allows you to create words and phrases by just typing them into the Letters box on the Letter tab instead of having to import every letter and then lining them up.

In order to get the most out of the session, you can bring your laptop (and software dongle/hasp, if you are using Premier+ version or earlier).  However, more importantly, please bring along your smart phone and/or tablet.

If you have stitched out any previous sessions’ design(s) please bring it (them) along as well, or any show and tell. We all like to see what you have been doing.

If you plan on join me for this month’s Software Club, please sign up online at our  website so that I can forward you the instructions to print beforehand.  If you haven't prepaid for the year, the fee is $12.  If you have prepaid and attending, the bug with the coupon code has been fixed.  Let me know if you can't find the appropriate coupon code.

Hope to see you at Club.
