August 2019 Embroidery Club!!
Hi Everyone!
The month, the Embroidery Club will be meeting on Sunday morning, August 18th from 9:30 to 11:30 AM and again on Friday, August 23 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
This month we're trying something different. At the software education event that we had last month, the educator touched on the various apps that are available for our machines. Since many of these apps can be used with most embroidery machines, and those attending the class came away somewhat confused, Cathy thought to make an in-depth study of them.
For those of you who didn't make it to the Software event, there are several free apps published by Husqvarna Viking that can be used on your smart phones and/or tablets. While they are designed to go with the WiFi enabled machines, a number of them can be used and useful without these new machines. There is a Sewing Advisor; you can take a picture with your phone and turn it into a design without software; you can create Projects and share them with friends. Cathy and I are planning to use the Project Creator to share the projects for Embroidery Club in the future. For this reason Cathy is repeating the Software Club for the Embroidery Clubs as well.
This time you don't need to bring your embroidery machines. In order to get the most out of the session, you can bring your laptop as well as your smart phone and/or tablelet. A donation for the food bank is also requested.
If you have any show and tell please bring it along. Everyone loves to see what you have been working on.
If you plan on coming, don't forget to sign up at www.sew-jos.ca/classes.htm. As always there is no cost to those of you who have purchased your machine from Yarn Forward or Sew-Jo's, however you need to find the correct Club, choose the desired date, add your name, then Add to Cart and finally Check Out.
