Software Club July 2019

Hello everyone, this month’s Software Club will be meeting on Sunday, July 14 from 9:30 to 11:30 am and again on Friday, July 19 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.

Last club some of you had expressed some ideas for future clubs.  This month I've decided to go with one of them - we are going to create in the hoop designs that can be used to hold a pony tail, sometimes called hair holders or barrettes, and can be made for adults or children. Each design will have openings to insert a securing stick (e.g. a dowel or chopstick) to hold the hair in place.

We will make a variety of sizes and shapes using appliquéd fabric and even free standing lace options.  Even if you don't have anyone with long hair to use them, you can use the techniques for other applications.  I have the freestanding lace samples stitched out so you can see what the various options look like when stitched (and how not to stitch them).

In order to get the most out of the session, please bring your laptop (and software dongle/hasp, if you are using Premier+ version).

If you stitched out any previous sessions’ design(s) please bring it (them) along as well, or any show and tell. We all like to see what you have been doing.

If you plan on join me for this month’s Software Club, please sign up online at our  website www.sew-jos.ca/classes.htm so that I can forward you the instructions to print beforehand.  If you haven't prepaid for the year, the fee is $12.  If you have prepaid and attending, please drop me an e-mail and I will add you.  I still haven't resolved the bug with the coupon code.

Hope to see you at Club.
