Turn a Photograph into an Art Quilt

Learn how to take your favourite photo, using your computer, create a pattern. From there, learn how to select fabrics which best represent the different shades and colors found in the photo; next how to assemble the fabrics using your photo pattern as a guide. The last step will entail touching up the fabric portrait with paint and threads; determining a background which best suits the fabric portrait; and selecting an appropriate quilting technique.

This is a two session class.  The first session is three hours focusing on how to turn your photo into a quilting pattern and the second session will be all day and focus on making the quilt.  Cost $140 plus kit fee that must be purchased in class. Maximum 6 students.
