Class Registration Policy
Note: We are offering classes in the store.

You can sign up for a class online on our website or through the store. Classes can fill up quickly. Please register early to avoid disappointment.

Except for Husqvarna or Embroidery Clubs, payment is due when you sign up.

We provide Husqvarna Viking sewing machines for our sewing classes held in the store, unless otherwise noted.

Class fees will not be refunded if we are notified less than 7 days before the class is scheduled to start. Refunds will not be provided for no-shows.

Classes are subject to cancellation if a minimum is not met. In this case, class fees will be fully refunded.

Some courses, where specified, have a kit fee which must be purchased. Otherwise, we would prefer supplies be purchased from Sew-Jo’s.

Attendance is limited to those who have paid for the class.

Learn different embroidery machine techniques and make this appliqued quilt which is also quilted completely in the hoop. Cathy has created these custom embroidery designs for this class from Hilda Cooper's hand drawings. Learn a different embroidery technique on your embroidery machine each block.

Back by popular demand; make this magnificent Stitchers? Garden- A Block of the Month Quilt designed by The Stitch Connection. The finished quilt measures 85" x 93". This is a 14 class program with 2 hour classes every two weeks. This beautiful machine applique quilt is designed to entice you to use the decorative stitches on your sewing machine in new and innovative ways and gives you the opportunity to use some of the specialty feet you may have in your collection. In the Classroom we will guide you through the different techniques required for that month's block. During the first class you will receive the background fabric and batting along with instructions of what to prepare for the upcoming classes. Each following class you will receive the pattern and written instructions for that month's block. In class 12 you will have the choice of appliqueing the remaining blocks in the same manner as the previous months or if you like, you can embroider them in the hoop. Embroidery designs are included in the package. The final two classes you will learn how to assemble the quilt, using a variation of quilt as you go.

Did you love our latest Fall Challenge winner's jacket? Would you like to learn how to make one yourself? Transform an old sweatshirt into a quilted jacket, a fun project that can be done by anyone who has basic sewing knowledge. The sweatshirt will be deconstructed and pieces of your favourite colours of fabric will be cut and sewed together to fit the different parts of the sweatshirt and will be added to the sweatshirt where it will be sewn by using free motion or your favourite sewing machine stitches.
